Drawing Practice: Day 3

Today I did straight line practice. A few things I noticed:
- Making vertical lines on the page is more unnatural to me, so maybe something to practice.
- Sometimes, it feels better for me to make strokes in one direction of the pantomime only, rather than both directions at the same time. I feel like there’s more control and consistency when I only do one direction.
- Paying close attention to angle of the lines I am drawing is useful and somethign to pay attention to more. I think I can do a decent job of visual comparison–i.e. I can see when the angle is off–but in practice may not always do that inspection.
- With pencil, I continue to prefer the grip near the tip and from the side grip. With pen I use a more conventional grip.
- For some irregular triangles and shapes I found it helpful to put a dot on the page for where I wanted the lines to meet rather than just drawing them directly. Helped to have a clear point to try to hit.
